With a name of “Spring City”, Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, is a remarkable place producing outstanding personalities. Its long history gives it a profound cultural background, which is well illustrated by “one mountain (Taishan mountain), one water area (Baotu Spring), and one sage (Confucius)”. Besides, it’s also the birthplace of such famous people as Shun King, Confucius, Bao Shun, Guan Zhong, Li Qingzhao, etc.
With the nourishment of such a great city, Shandong Great Wall Group invested to found Shandong United University in order to return society, and then on its base, we established Shandong Shenghan Finance and Trade Vocational College. “Shen” represents China’s ancient culture of “saint men”, like Confucian culture; “han” is “Hanlin”, the member of the Imperial Academy in ancient China, indicates the cream of our traditional culture. Inheriting the tradition, we explore to develop modern education in order to confirm the era trend and to gear ourselves to advanced education conceptions.
An erudite one could be a teacher; one of integrity could become a model. The College Board adheres to combining the management of college affairs with integrity and that of legislation, follows the principle of “one central task, two basic groups, standard administration and vocational characteristics”, runs the college with the management notion of “ To Survive in quality, to develop in characteristics”, and then deepens the education reform to establish a complete quality assurance system of teaching. In 2004, our college started the plan of training qualified teachers, and succeeded in introducing talents as well as training work. Generally speaking, we fulfilled the management system reform featured by “Management of college and department, shift-down of the focus on department ”.
In future, Shandong Shenghan Finance and Trade Vocational College would become a cradle of training international Confucian businessmen and high-qualified modern builders of our country. And Shandong Shenghan Finance and Trade Vocational College would become a saintplace of modern talents who can foster our economic development, benefit the society, improve people’s quality and enhance the development of traditional cultures. Let’s work harder with an innovative spirit, with the joint efforts, to build our college into a first-class vocational college. We should survive in quality, advance our management level, offer better services, bring forth new ideas, dare to face various challenges, and finally realized the rapid development of Shenghan.
